Irvine Welsh and John Hodge aren't the only ones who appear in the film, you can catch the producer Andrew MacDonald as one of the prospective house buyers when Renton is in London working for an estate agency.

In the opening scene on the film, you will see Renton, Spud and Sickboy being chased down the street by a couple of security guards.
You may already know this but one of the security guards is the screen writer Mike Hodge.
