American Pie Easter Eggs

During the whole internet scene, if you watch carefully, one of the groups watching the broadcast are none other than Blink 182 (who are also on the soundtrack), and you can also hear their song "Mutt" playing in the background during that scene.

In some of the Jims Room scenes you can make out the DVDs on the shelf, you'll notice that one of the DVDs is How High, which was the directors (Paul Weitz) first movie.

Casey Affleck, (To Die For, Good Will Hunting, 200 Cigarettes) has an uncredited cameo as Kevin's, (Ian Thomas Nicholas) older brother. You can see him sitting at the sushi resturant talking on the phone with Kevin.

The high school that the guys attend is called "East Great Falls", and is located in West Michigan. It is the equivalent of an actual high school called East Grand Rapids, which the writer of the script graduated from.
