Mac OS 8.5 Easter Eggs

1. Open a text editor such as BBEdit Lite
2. Open MacOS ROM in the System folder of the 8.5 installer CD
3. Select the text and reduce the size
4. Behold - an ASCII art MacOS logo!
5. (May work in other versions, I've only got the UK)

-Egg 1-

1. Select "About the Script Editor..." from the Apple Menu.

2. Hold in Control and click on the large icon.

3. The text will change from "The Script Editor" to "Guava Suprise"

-Egg 2-

4. Click on the Credits button now, and you will... more

1. In the finder, hold down control option and command
2. Click on the apple menu
3. Where it said "about this computer" it says "about the MacOS 8.5 Team"
4. Scroll to it and release cursor
5. Watch the credits, along with some of the new icons... more

1. Click on Desktop
2. Hold command+option+control
3. Go to the Apple pull-down menu
4. You will see "About the Mac OS 8.5 Team...:
5. Highlight this line and let go of the mouse

1. Open the Finder.

2. Hold down the option key while selecting the Apple Menu.

3. Where it usually says "About This Computer" it will say "About The Finder"

4. Select this from the menu.

5. A mountain scenery will appear, and credits will scroll... more
