Hairspray Easter Egg - Baltimore's Favorite Son!

In "Hairspray" John Waters plays an uncredited cameo as a psuedo-voo-doo-doctor who uses hypnotism to try to make Ricki Lake's best friend obey her parents by stop loving her boyfriend.

Umm...in case you didn't know, John Waters plays cameos in most of his movies...just like any other great director (Speilberg, Kubrick, Hitchcock, Kevin Smith) or writer (Stephen King, anyone?).

Actually, Vitamin C was in Hairspray, but she played Amber Von Tussle. She's listed in the credits as Colleen Fitzpatrick. If you don't believe me, check out her listing at IMBD: http://us.imdb.com/Name?Fitzpatrick,+Colleen+(I). As for Vitamin C not being old enough...well imdb has her listed as being 30 years old, however I've read a few articles that place her age at anywhere from 32 to 35.

Colleen Fitzpatrick is Vitamin C and is Amber. She was 18 when she made this film, as stated by Waters in his commentary of the movie on the Laser Disc version.
