Monkey Island 3 (Curse of Monkey Island) Easter Egg - Fine Leather Jackets

Not so, the Indiana Jones game came out in 1989, whereas the first Monkey island game came out in 1990. This shows that the Easter eggs are in the Monkey Island games.

It actually turns up several times in the game. The first is in the very first scene, when you're talking for Wally. The only game where this is actually useful the one of its origin (which IS Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade), in which you can offer it to a guard at a road block. You manage to convince him to not only let you through but also actually pay you in advance. The above may not be exactly right as I haven't actually played the game very much at all, but my friend, who is a big fan of LucasArts graphic adventures, recently told me about it. I do, however, have The Curse of Monkey Island, and have completed it in Mega-Monkey mode. I found the ending more than a little disappointing.

In "Full Throttle", go to the city of Melonweed. Next, go to Todd's trailer, "Use" the door. Todd will talk to you true the door, he won't let you in. Talk to the door several times and Ben will eventually say:"I'm selling these fine leather jackets".

The fine leater jacket joke is in nearly all LucasArts graphic adventures, since 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. By the way, so what is the ending of Monkey Island 3 is dissappointing? The game still rules.

Actually in Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, Russians shout at you "That is a fine leather jacket" in Russian.

Should running jokes like these really be classed as eggs? If you counted all the gags in the game, there would be hundreds of eggs!
