Goodfellas Easter Egg - Dinner at Mom's

You can find Scorsese`s mother also in another Scorsese`s movie: "Mean streets".

Martin Scorsese mother is actualy called Catherine Scorsese and she has had parts in a few of his films including Casino, The King of comedy, and Cape Fear.

Not only that but the entire scene with the directors mother was completely ad-libbed, thats why Ray Liotta and Robert De Niro are real quiet in that scene ;)

Is this really an egg? Martin Scorsese often features in his own films, as do his parents. But they're in the credits for all to see, so it's not as if they were trying to anything from anyone. Furthermore, these weren't even cameos, e.g. like Hitchcock's appearances, because they are full scenes, not quick flashes or characters-in-background, etc. btw don't get me wrong, GoodFellas is one of the greatest films ever made.

His Father also appears in the movie. He's one of the guys who kills Joe Pesci's character and the one who tells DeNiro on the phone.(as far as I can remember)

Everyone know that much. Duh. Did she really paint that picture of the two dogs and a man? Now thats a question.

How is this an easter egg, are they not meant to be hidden these are just wee bits of trivia you can find out on the internet movie database. Look at the cast of characters for all his films and you'll nearly always find him and his mother involved in some way. ie the cash counting scene in casino look and you'll see martin himself.
