Actually this was Originally meant to be called 'Pangs' But later they changed it to Phases. And I think they changed the name once it had already been shown in the USA.

Actually, this episode was always called Phases. Pangs was a completely different episode that aired in Season Four.

Actually, the shout-out was specifically a hi to the Buffy Posting Board, a place where fans of the show meet, conversed with each other, and chat with VIP's(cast and crew). Dunno if it still exists due to the network changeover.

Yea alot of pple have pointed this out but the episode ur on about is called phases. Pangs is the one in season 4 where its thanksgiving and Angel comes to protect Buffy!

the posting board has, sadly, been closed down due to the change of Buffy from the WB to...a different network :-S any Americans care to correct me? And yes phases/pangs/whatever is the wrong episode. This egg actually occurs in the episode where Cordelia and Buffy battle for the title of homecoming queen. Buffy stands in front of a huge notice board in the library, which lists all the strengths and weaknesses of Buffy's competition. As she stands still in front of it, we can see over her shoulder that one of the competition is 'PB crazed!'. PB stands for posting board - i.e. the Bronze posting board on the official Buffy web site for the WB.
