Well, it does say that Instant Messanger v1.5 is required. If you don't have the correct software of course it isn't going to work.

It does work! It's a little scary though..... By the way, you can find out what version you have at the sign-on thing, it SHOULD say it under "help" or "settings" or maybe that's just on my version. Or, after you sign on, you go to help/about AOL instant messenger and it should show the version.

to find out what version you have go to the screen where you sign on. look at the very bottom of the screen it says Version:(your version will be here)
