Reeves-Stevens, Judith & Garfield Easter Egg - Cool Star Trek Reference

When the two main charactors are about to hijack the top-secret USAF plane "Nevada Rain", they steal the flight suits of the two test pilots. The helmets are labeled as belonging to Captains 'PIKE' and 'HARRIMAN' (if you have the book, look on page 529). These are the names of the first captains of the Starship Enterprise 1701 and
Enterprise 1701-B, respectavly. This is an inside joke refering to the fact that the authors of this book, Judith & Gar Reeves-Stevens, are by FAR best known for their long career of writing star trek novels.
I got a good laugh from this when I read the book, and I hope you do, too!
