1. Enter the hidden room behind the fireplace, found in the first chapter.
2. Use the book in the small case in the middle of the room.
3. Look to the left side of the room on the shelf.
4. See the Holy Hand Grenade of Monty Python fame.

Actually, it's more that the Holy Hand Grenade's design is that of a "Globus Cruciger," which literally translates to "sphere with cross on top." They were used as holy relics or crown jewels and were very popular in medieval Europe. If I recall correctly, the church in the game was very old.
