Halo 3 Easter Egg - Camp Froman Again

On the map last resort there is a fairly moderate sized tablet placed on the wall at that sniping point. It's directly in the middle of the sniping point facing the wheel thing. It will say Camp Froman on it and has a picture of an old man on it. Please comment if you know who it is.

That area is also nicknamed "Camp Froman". The name is a reference to Halo 2 and that is another reference. The story to how it got the name "Camp Froman" is fairly interesting. In beta tests of Halo 2, Luke Timmins, engineer at Bungie, aka Froman would camp up there with the sniper rifle all the time. People then would get pissed about it.
