.hack//Infection Easter Egg - Wishful Thinking Bandai

As you play the game, when you return to the mockup of the desktop, sometimes you will notice you can view more NEWS articles as the story progresses.

Many of them will be a random tidbit, from cat toilets to bio-engineered apples, but one of them will talk of a new hand-held coming out soon, the WonderHawk. The article touts it as the successor to the wildly popular WonderSwan Revolution.

It may look like another random article, but Bandai, the same people who made the .hack//series, once tried to make a hand-held gaming system called the Wonder Swan. It was meant to be a competitor to the Game Boy Colour, but was ultimately a failure, and it fizzled out after a few different adaptations.

It seems like as long as they were writing a future for the game, they may as well rewrite the past to make their product a winner.
