Star Trek Easter Egg - Nod to Matt Jeffries
On page 158 Kirk admires a piece of artwork of a constitution-class starship like the original enterprise. When he looks to see the artists name he reads it is a work of 'Jeffries'.
"It was good to know that one of Starfleet's greatest shipwrights had not been forgotten in this age."
This 'artwork' is a tip of the hat to Art Supervisor Matt Jeffries who not only designed parts of the original Enterprise (Some named after him such as Jeffries Tubes).
