Deep Impact Easter Egg - Take That! Armageddon

Toward the end of the movie, after the small asteroid hits Earth, it shows a huge wave obliteratig various locations. One of the first is an oil rig, which was where the main characters of Armageddon, a similar themed movie released in the same year, worked at the beginning. Bruce Willis and crew save the world from an asteroid like in this movie. I think this was an attack at Armageddon. Oil rigs aren't important, and the movie had no real reason for that brief scene other than revenge. Take that!
