Actually, this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. The guy that made SimCity was named Will WRIGHT, NOT Write. Sheesh.

The egg with the chicken works at every place and in other Zelda games too.

Actually, in the SNES SimCity, there was a guy named Mr. Write with a huge green hairdo that helps you near the start. Mr. Wright named Mr. Write after himself, I guess. In fact, I think Link's Awakening's Mr. Write is the SNES SimCity Mr. Write, so it is a SimCity reference. They should've put the Mario Statue in there somewhere...

In the manual for this all time classic game, it says "doesn't he look a little bit familiar?" under the bit on page 29 about Mr. Write. I didn't have a clue what this meant until now. Surely this is proves the reference to the guy from simcity.

Also, the "dogs" that the lady in Mabe Village keeps are really Chain Chomps from Super Mario Bros.!

john pepper, I'm sorry to tell you, but that is NOT an egg. It's actually part of the "chicken tradition" in Zelda games. When you hit the "chickens" in Mabe village, (or any other village, really) you are "injuring" them. That is why they run away from you. After a while of pummeling them with your sword, other chickens fly in to help it. They also take a hefty toll in damage from you, so I really wouldn't recommend doing it...

I just wanted to say the number of times you hit the chicken is 35. I didn't count it or anything, its just that it is posted on most Zelda web sites(not web sites with Zelda cheats, the sites that are dedicated to Zelda). Also on these sites, are things like telling you where all the pictures are taken. Thats all

Also in Mr.Writes house, you see a picture of Christine...... Yeah right, we all know that is Princess Toadstool. Also, Remember the Goombas Link has to fight after he gets the Rocs Feather? And isnt there also an enemy that is like Kirby? Note how in Ocarina of Time, Mario and Co. pictures are hidden in the court yard. Also were the people on Lon Lon ranch made to look like Mario and friends?

Actually, if you are on Epona when you attack the chickens, they can't hurt you and you can fool around with your arrow trying to shoot them and they'll follow you around as you gallop. The only place that I've found to do this is Lon Lon Ranch near the tree by the entrance. Maybe you could do it in Gerudo vallely too.
