M*A*S*H Easter Egg - U of I or Northwestern?

McLean Stevenson commonly wears University of Illinois sweatshirts. He wanted to wear shirts from his alma mater, Northwestern, but their school colors were dark and wouldn't come across on-screen as well as the U of I colors (orange and blue.) It started out as a shout out to his school and ended up just being one to his home state.
