UPS Commercial Easter Egg - Ups Whiteboard Commercial - Music by "the Postal Service"
On the new UPS whiteboard commercial the background music track is "Give Up" by The Postal Service.
The band was named the postal service because the two band members shared and compiled tracks on opposite coasts via the USPS. The USPS decided to sue because of the name infringement and UPS paying them royalties for "give up" is a funny backhand if it were intentional. Knowing how corporate America works, I have my bets that it was all in the ad agency.
Its rather funny that the track was used in the television commercial as well as the online ad marketing campaign.
