Sky Digital Set-top Box Easter Egg - Sky Digibox Update

This simple procedure will force your sky digibox into updating (I beleive) the firmware/software. My box decided to only give me bbc1 and bbc2 and this 100% fixed it so it may be of use to you.

Simple to do.
1. Pull out the power cord (or switch off at wall if you can reach it from the boxes location).

2. Hold "BACK UP" button on the box itself.

3. Power up the box, keeping hold of the button, wait for a message to appear on the screen "system update, do not unplug...... etc."

4. Leave the box to update, it will take about 5 or 6 mins (the message on the screen says 10mins).

Thats it, updated, naturally the dish must be plugged in or it wont work, the phone line does not need to be in.
