Sid Meier's Pirates! Easter Egg - Captain Sid

When you visit a tavern and talk to the traveler in the back corner - it's always the same guy -right? But once - just once - it wasn't the same old character - It was Sid Meier's face! The next time I went in - it was the old character again. I've played this game alot - but I have only seen Captain Sid that one time. It must either be totally random, or you must have to have reached a certian level (time?, deeds?, loot?) for him to appear. Maybe someone out there who is more savvy about computer codes can find Sid in the graphics files.
