Eleventh Hour, The Easter Egg - The Eleventh Hour (Graeme Base) - the Swan's Name

The only puzzle not solved in the back of this highly entertaining, fascinating mystery book is the question of The Swan's Name. When I was young I never would have figured this out.

On the page with The Card Game, there is a code using the cards: A 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 J Q K of Hearts are A-M, respectively; A 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 J Q K of Clubs are N-Z, respectively.

Therefore, using this code, one can decipher the code running along the top of the page. Also using this code, one can decipher the cards that the Swan holds.

For the sake of not spoiling it, I'll let you decipher her name. After all, it took me 14 years to figure it out and I swore I wouldn't look up the answer on the Internet. I'm not going to ruin it for someone else.

I love this book. Isn't it strange that there's a correlation between the number of cards in a deck and letters of the alphabet. Especially because they are both multiples of 13 which is a strong enough superstition to have the 13th floor number of some buildings skipped. Just a thought.
