Batman: The Animated Series Easter Egg - Superman Reference

In the episode where baby doll and crock are on a crime spree crock puts some papers down saying"Even the out-of-towners are writing about us! The newspaper has the words "The Daily Planet" written on it. This is a reference to the newspaper Clark Kent AKA Superman works for.

So what? Batman and Superman are both DC properties and both of their cartoon shows are now known as the "Batman/Superman Adventures." There have been several crossovers, as well. It would come as anything but a surprise to learn that people in Batman were reading the Daily Planet. It may even have been expected to happen sooner or later. I give no eggs for this.

Check the by-line on that article. It says Clark Kent. This is no surprise considering that Clark (Superman) and Bruce (Batman) are good friends and have worked together on several occasions.

And what about the Superman's episode "The world's finest" in which Lex Luthor and The Joker try to destroy Superman and Batman comes to Metropolis to help?

On one of the Superman animated episodes, I forget which one exactly, but he goes back to his parents house (his earth parents). And one of them says something like:"We don't want you running around like that crazy man in Gotham" It's not an egg, just kinda funny.

That episode was not before the crossover & I know it for several reasons 1. I have an episode guide 2. That was one of the last (if not the last) Batman episodes made (my guide ends with that one, don't know if they made more after it)

This was done even in "Batman and Robin" the movie. Batman and Robin are talking in the garage and one says to the other something about the circus that Robin worked in "they're half way to Metropolis by now." Then in "Lois and Clark" the TV series Clark and Lois are having a discussion and Lois says something somewhat loud and Clark says something about "they can hear you in Gotham City." or something like that.

How come NO ONE has mentioned the BEST EVER episode like this? In one episode, Bruce Wayne disappears and the news spreads to... SUPERMAN! He comes to Gotham City and becomes Batman! Everyone notices Batman suddenly gotten stronger... especially the villians, who get a big shock! He uses his powers to find where Bruce Wayne was taken! The episode ends in a CATSROPHIC battle bettween Superman and Brainiac! *pant* *pant* pant* Don't worry, Bruce Wayne is Batman again and Clark Kent is back in his Superman costume.
