SpongeBob Squarepants Easter Egg - My Leg!

In many of the first season episodes the creators hid a recording of a fish yelling "My Leg" through-out different episodes. It fun to find where the creators put the recording. Here is a list of the places I found the recording:

1. This one is on the episode where SpongeBob is hall montior. After the part where SpongeBob directs all the cars in the wrong direction, you see a bunch of cars that had crash. During this scene, you'll here a man moan, "My Leg..."

2. This one is on "Boating School" episode. When SpongeBob crashes into the lighthouse looking building, and it falls down, you here the same man moan, "My Leg..."

3. On "The Chaperone" episode, when all the kids at the prom get hurt during the Sponge Song, you can here the recording, "My Leg!"

4. This is on "Culture Shock", where Squidward puts on a talent show. When Pearl puts on her perfromance, and jumps up and down, people start crashing through the air. At this part, you here the recording, "My Leg!"

5. On "Sleepy Time", when SpongeBob gets inside Plankton's dream, Plankton says, "I see you, Zap!" and you hear the recording "My Leg!"

6. In the episode "Arrgh!", a fish walks in the Kusty Krab and says "Whip up those patties, cause I sure am hungry" or something like that. Mr. Krabs, pushes him and he yells, "My Leg!"

7. On "Walking Small", when SpongeBob gets out his towel, he fans off all the sand on it. All the fish pack up very fast and runs away. You can hear the recording, "My Leg!" at this moment.

8. On "Karate Choppers", when SpongeBob crashes a fish into the floor because he thinks he's Sandy, you hear the recording.

9. This episode wasn't on the first season, but it was the first episode of the second season. On "Something Smells", when SpongeBob says hello to everyone in the marching band, his bad breath knocks them over like bowling pins. Then they all get up and run away and you can once again, hear the recording of the man screaming, "My Leg!"

If anything, I think it's just a running gag. Funny, maybe. But in my opinion, it's just coincidental, and not an egg.

It occurs usually in the background, when people are yelling and screaming. In fact, pretty much all of them occur when there is some sort of chaos with lots of noise going on. The only one that doesn't is number 6, which I think was the first appearence of the recording. I have seen pretty much every episode of SpongeBob SquarePants more than once and I only started noticing the recording much later after I've seen the episode for the first time. I think it's some sort of inside joke between the creators.

The 'My Leg' fish is named Tom, as seen in the episode where they start doing the Talent Show. Tom and some other fish walk up to each other and have a conversation about the talking dog at the Shell Shack.

Awesome, I just found another one and it's in season two! This one is a little hard to catch. I just noticed it and I've seen the episode over 5 times! In No Free Rides when Mrs. Puff is thinking about what would happen if SpongeBob is on the roads driving, when SpongeBob hits the people at the table sitting, there is a lot of yelling going on. Muffled in the noise is you can hear the moan saying, "Ohh..my leg! My leg!"

Another tough one to find is in the episode where Plankton plans on building the Chum Buckey Mega Bucket, and Spongebob cuts the kite strings off with his tooth. 'My Leg!' can be heard.

Also in the episode when Spongebob gets the suds, when Mr. Krabs tells him he can't be sneezing all over his food, and the Krusty Krab customers start screaming you can hear the "My leg!" recording.

He also sometimes yells "My eyes!", like in the episode when Spongebob had bad breath.

tom also says my leg in fun when they sound the alarm and everyone runs and when plankton imagines himself on a giant jellyfish destroying the town

In the empisode "something smells" after you hear the moan "my leg" in the marching band afterwards spongebob jumps on a car and says excuse me sir am i ugly? The fish called Fred eyes water and yells"my eyes". By the way doesa any1 no where i can find audio clips of Fred the fish?

the person, or fish, that shouts my leg!, is also the same voice as larry, and plankton. he is also the fish that got up on the table and started singing about the jellyfish jelly spongebob made. the song says something like,"hey all you people, hey all you people, hey all you people won't you listen to me????!!" and then mr krabs comesout and says, "is squidward playing his records again??" they are all the same person. by the way, i LOVE the song that that fish sings. and i LOVE when he shouts MY LEG!! its so flippen hilarious i start crackin up all the time lol
