Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones Easter Egg - Is Jango Tall?

It appears that Fett genes and low headroom don't mix. In an homage to the classic Star Wars misstep, wherein a stormtrooper bangs his head on a low-hanging door, Jango Fett also takes a wallop on the noggin -- complete with sound effect -- as he enters the Slave I after tangling with Obi-Wan.

... except that in the second trilogy (i.e. 4,5 & 6) the Storm Troopers are NOT the same as episode two's Clone Troopers. The Storm Troopers are just soldiers, the clones are all wiped out before "A New Hope" begins.

Another funny thing, after Jango gets hit on the head from Slave I he 'acquires' a famous dent in his helmet.

Well of course he's tall! After all, Princess Leia once commented that Luke was too short to be a stormtrooper.

This is from the Official Star Wars Homing Beacon#61, which is about Attack easter eggs: "It appears that Fett genes and low headroom don't mix. So it's officially an egg, not a slip-up.

To the person who said it was a slip up. IT IS AN EGG! Why? Because his hitting his head was part of the script. It was put there by George Lucas. It was done as a joke making fun of what happens to one of the Storm Troopers(who were cloned from Jango) in Episode 4 when they board the Princess' ship. Since it wasn't an accident and most people wouldn't notice it, it is an egg.

Diddly, would you LISTEN to Brian? The Clones are NOT Stormtroopers! Rumors are spreading about that Stormtroopers are Clonetroopers! Don't listen!

Jango (Tamuera Morrison) is pretty short. If you've seen his two other movies (Once Were Warriors and What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted) he doesn't seem very tall up against all of the other people in the movies.

Ok...so they aren't Storm Troopers. Who cares? That wasn't the point of the message. It's still an egg. Lucas said he put it in there himself. And yes, I received a copy of the newsletter from the official Star Wars site with this and other eggs listed in it.

Diddly's right it's an egg. I know put this easter egg here. And I did get it from the star wars homing beacon 61. Of course, if George Lucas directed it he knows. I also got all my other Attack of the Clones eggs from the homing beacon.

The Jango head bump would not be concidered an egg. Though the reason it is there might be, the bump itself is right in plain view, not hidden. Call it being too technical on my part, but it's not an egg.

Actually i'm pretty sure that the clones are not Jangos Fetts, but they are Boba Fett, the son.

If you check the official web site it says that the clones were designed to reseble a halfway point between the Mandalorian armour worn by Fett and the Stormtrooper armour from EPIV-VI. And I quote: "The titular clone troopers of Episode II were designed to strongly hint at their eventual evolution into the Empire's stormtrooper ranks."

The storm troopers are clones. I was watching the the directors' commentary last night and at that scene they say that Jango Fett bumped his head, and in the the future they bump their heads because it is cloned from them. George Lucas said that on the director's commentary.

This is indeed an homage to the Storm Trooper hitting his head in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. If you turn on the audio commentary on the DVD during the mentioned scene of Obi-Wan Kenobi dueling with Jango Fett you will hear them say that it was on purpose because someone says (I think it was George actually) that the Fett gene's carried over into the Clone Troopers which eventually become the Storm Troopers.

George Lucas himself said that it was intentional. In the audio commentary for the DVD he said that it was an homage back to the seen from Star Wars where the stormtroper bangs his head. This makes it an egg. Also, although I once firmly believed that stormtroopers were not clones, Lucas himself said on the commentary something to the effect of, "And we thought it would be funny if that's what got cloned into the stortrooper."

The clones were from Jango NOT Boba. If you play SW Bounty Hunter, Jango requests the first clone for himself unmodified. This is Boba.

To all who say clones do *NOT* become stormies, go see Revenge Of The Sith. The clone's armor has adapted to a design that closly resembles stormie armor.

ok, since it seems i am the resident SW expert here, i will correct a few misunderstandings. The one i will correct now is the statement made that stormtroopers are NOT clone troopers. That is almost true, for GL (George Lucas) has said on numerous occasions that stormtroopers are taken from the remaining clones, slaves, and other citizens that wish to join the Imperial Army. The one that hit his head on the door in ANH was probably one of the last clones still serving in the army.

I believe I'll settle this one and put some clarity to this. One, the head bump IS intentional, makes it an easter egg. Two, Stormtroopers ARE clones, why else would there be a "Clone Trooper to Storm Trooper" Evolutions toy? Three, I think this is long since a dead horse issue.

all right I will get things on track for one thing jango bumped his head because the door was closing and the clonetrooper, stormtrooper thing after the rise of the empire the clones were given new ship, more powerful, weapons, and new armor, also some are real people but most were clones.

To end the pointless argument if the stormtroopers are actually clones, let me tell you what I know.During the campaigns of Star Wars Battlefront, you play as the 501 legion and in the beginning, you are clones but as it continues it talks about how they got different suits and armor and then you are stormtroopers. I think that by episodes 5 and 6 a lot of the troopers would still be clones, but also a lot would be just people the empire recruited.

Hey, Dom...the dent was acquired when Boba Fett got hit point blank with a blaster. Mandelorian armor is that strong.
