Harry Potter: Special Edition Easter Egg - 7 Deleted Scenes : How to Get There

1. On the Opening screen on Disc two, select Diagon Alley (Hedwig)

2. Put the selector thingy on Gringotts, then press down selecting the key, click to get to the gringotts area then select the Galleon, Sickle, and Knut and click

3. Now you should be back at the main page for diagon alley, go to ollivander's and have fun selecting your wand (not sure if its the same for every DVD)

4. Go back to the main screen and select the wand and click, getting to the classrooms

5. Select Transfiguration (the cat), then hit down to select the owls on the torch, then hit up to select the H on a Shield. Click

6. At Fluffy, select the Flute and click

7. At the Keys, select the Silver one in the middle with a bent wing (its the only one that is completely over the door in the background)

8. At the Bottles (which was not in the Movie) select the round one with the yellow liquid

9. Select the Red stone in the mirror to get to the cut scenes(only seven, but i bet theres more)

Scene 1 - Smeltings uniform
Scene 2 - Letters in Eggs
Scene 3 - Hagrid and Harry on the Underground
Scene 4 - Harry and Ron befriend Hermione
Scene 5 - More Christmas
Scene 6 - Dumbledore's Card and Neville's
legbinding
Scene 7 - Extended Potions Class

I bet there's more because this is only about 15 minutes of extra footage, the original cut was 4 hours, and the Movie was 2 1/2 hours. So get hunting (when you all finally get the DVD next month!)

This can be reached by answering the question in the Potions class and then the bottles task as in the book, you then reach the stone and get to see the same scenes

In Diagon Alley, at Ollivander's, you can choose any wand, but your third choice will be the correct one. Just like Harry!

You don't have to go through the Potions class at all to get to the delted scenes. In the classroom, click on the H for Hogwarts or the Owls on the statue. It takes you straight to Fluffy, the keys, and then the bottles.

For the "key" test, choose the flying key that is in the middle of the doorway toward the middle of the page. Not the one at the top of the doorway, but in the middle.

OK seriously folks, how can one get to the extra scenes without going through all this crap? My DVD player is not the newest so it often crashes with too much menu browsing. I don't understand how they locked this up so hard. You can't select a title, it defaults to the opening screen. Even when I try to get my computer to manually play the files in the directory structure, it still somehow defaults back to the opening screen. Whoever made that comment about finding the secret scenes in the scene selection of disc 1 - what kind of comment is that? You actually can skip titles in disc 1 and the scenes aren't there, and there's no hidden buttons I could find in the scene selection - that comment should be removed since it's wrong, undetailed, and wasting people's time. I am disappointed at how stupid WB made disc 2 (the searching, and the tour is blurry making it useless!) Adding insult to injury, on both discs, they've locked it out so you can't skip any of the lengthy intro sequences so you have to watch it every time. It's DVD-authoring like this that really annoys me. I'm waiting for someone to release DVD software that knows how to bypass all these types of locks.

Okay, this may sound like a dumb question, but here goes. Are these features accessed through a DVD player, or a computer DVD player? I know a few people that would love to see these scenes, but they only have a regular DVD player, not a computer with a DVD player in it. Also, somebody mentioned that you can access scenes from the first disk, but never mentioned how. Does anybody know?

You can skip steps 1 through 7 in the directions above by gonig directly to title 81. Specifically, put the DVD into your player, press the stop button on your remote, press the 10+ button eight times, then press the 1 button. Then, follow the above instructions beginning at step 8. You can also jump to other video content on Titles 7 through 13.

If you are running windows xp then you probably will have to upgrade the player that came on the cd. Go to http://player.interactual.com/. Click player upgrades and download version 2.04 update. That stopped the problem I had with the player freezing up. Hope this helps you.

Hey!!!!!!!! For all of you out there that are having problems with your HP dvd freezing up in Ollivander's wand shop, I have found a solution that will get you to those elusive deleted scenes. Check your dvd remote for a display button, if it has one, this info will help you on your way: On disc 2, go through all the hoops to get to Ollivanders. Once you are there, dont click on anything, just press the display button. On the display that pops up, find the square with the T and numbers which tells you what track you are on. Highlight the tracks square and use the arrows to advance the numbers to #81, then press enter. It will take you briefly to the flying keys screen, then to a potions screen. Click on the yellow potion which will take you to the Mirror of Erised. Select the sorcerers stone within the mirror and click on it. Finally, you are there!!!!!!!!!!! Here at last are the awesome deleted scenes!!!!!!!! I sincerely hope that this is helpful to at least a few of my fellow wizards out there!!!! :) :) Keep smiling and zapping out there! Sincerely, Wizzard

Lot faster way Might help for those with primitive machines or dvd software that doesnt encourage lots of clicking in DVD menus 1)Go to title 81 as mentioned above. 2)Pick the Yellow round potions bottle. 3)Pick up the Philosophers/Sorcerors Stone 4)You will see the first 3 of 7 dvd deleted scenes. They are mentioned above. - You are currently in title 77 5) After you are done watching, you can click next or if you are lazy or if clicking doesnt work, jump to title 78.Title 78 contains the remaining deleted scenes. Hope this works for everyone. NOTE: Directly jumping to title 77 or title 78 results in a redirection to the main title menu. So you gotta go through title 81 first.

This is a listing of the tracks on both DVD's and, as you can see isn't complete. The reason for this is that I don't own a DVD-ROM drive. If someone has a DVD-ROM drive, please check the blank tracks and track 35 on disk two, as it is an educated guess. If there is anything else, it has to be on these unknown tracks. Here is a complete listing with significant chapters included (easter eggs). I used a - to show that the track redirects to another track and -> to show that it shows that track then redirects. I wonder why they didn't just edit the deleted scenes into the movie? They all seem to enhance the movie, then we wouldn't have to go through all this to get to them. Or like they did with "Rocky Horror", have both a 'Director's Cut' and the 'theatrical release' included. Jim

For all of those trying to access the scenes, and you player keeps crashing, why not just try going to them directly, by accessing your DVD player's Title selection, and typing in the number you need there. It will work, I have tried it. It's worth the shot.

Right here is where it stops -- I see the coloured bottles, but then a voice says "Oh no, poison!" and a fireball explodes and takes me to a hospital scene. Does this happen to anyone else? I just can't see the scenes any other way... not even by directly selecting the tracks (it keeps going back to the language selection when I try that).

Hey, Rowling cleverly illustrates the cunning and deceptive, power-hungry nature of evil. Thru beautiful, genius story telling, she lays out a scenario whereby an average boy is presented with, but resists, quite humanly, power, revenge and evil. All without religion, brainwashing or dogma. It is through love, loyalty, goodness, reverence of life, understanding, forgiveness--brought forth by the experiences and hard-won lessons of a seasoned, well-loved mentor. A classic. ... hopefully there will be a way to continue this series with a new one... unless her imagination is now over :) Regards, http://harry-potter.sufx.net
