Ferris, Keith Easter Egg - Smithsonian Air and Space Museum B-17 Mural

Go to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. The WWII gallery is showcased by a 25 foot by 75 foot wall mural by famed aviation artist Keith Ferris. Various placards on the B-17 were "modified" by Keith to thank and honor his friends and family who supported his efforts. Where such labels as "NO STEP" or "CAUTION" should appear on the wing and fuselage, there are names such as "PEGGY" (Keith's wife), "MOODY SUTER" (a long time famous fighter pilot friend of Keith's), and "GAIL" (Moody's wife.) A beer label discreetly adorns the control column (perhaps to commemorate the many cases of Bud supplied by Moody during Keiths 75-day project). It's been many years since I've visited, so there are doubtless more Easter Eggs on the mural that I have since forgotten.
