April Fools (Rufus Wainright) Easter Egg - Hole? No Doubt About It

I think it's cool, anyway. Rufus starts this video in a bed with a group of chicks, one of which eventually gets killed by a gang. This woman is the guitar player for Hole (I forget her actual name). Just before that, the group goes to a diner, where they're wated on by sassy waitress Gwen Stephani, from the crappy band No Doubt. Pretty cool, eh?

I read an article recently in Rolling Stone saying that Melissa Auf Der Maur and Rufus have been friends for a long time (they are both from musical families in Montreal if memory serves me), so its not surprising that she is in his video.

First off, Melissa has been a bassist for Hole AND Smashing Pumpkins (replacing Darcy Wretzky)... Secondly, Rufus' video is about his love for opera and the horrible end the female leads often met. The "damned ladies"...
