Gradius Galaxies (Graduis Advance) Easter Egg - The Classic Konami Code Revisited... Sort Of

This is really a hidden cheat code, but there is a bit of a twist. Remember the classic Konomi Code? This code was famous on many Konomi games, and was really simple. Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, B, A, Start. Usually, you would get many lives.

On Gradius Galaxies for GBA, start a game and pause it. Now type in the code, U,U,D,D,L,R,L,R,B,A. You will notice you get all your shields and weapons, and options. Now unpause... But wait!!! What's this? After 3 seconds, your ship explodes!

To get all those weapons without your ship blowing up, type it in backwards. D,D,U,U,R,L,R,L,A,B. Now you have everything and stay intact. By the way, the code doesn't seem to work while you are fighting a boss.

I want to add something to this egg. Call it a revision. I had submitted the code to IGN as well, and they posted it without giving me credit (the bastards), but they have the real code showing as Up,Up,Down,Down,L,R,L,R,B,and A. With the L and R being the shoulder buttons. I haven't tried this one yet, but if they can steal from me, I can return the favor.

Waffle: Correct. if you did the code on the old Super NES version of Gradius III, you'd blow up. But, if you did the code but used the top shoulder buttons, you'd get the full upgrade.
