St. Elsewhere Easter Egg - A New Face with an Old Name
In the series finale of this incredible show, many lives change. Towards the end of the episode, a young, previously unseen resident is speaking to a patient. He tells the patient that he plans to be an important force in the hospital, make great changes. Then the resident says his name: Brandon Falsey. Joshua Brand and John Falsey (later responsible for "Northern Exposure") created St. Elsewhere, and were the executive producers and guiding force in the first season. They left at the end of that season, due to creative differences with the network. So hearing a mixture of their names at the end of this series as a force of "new blood" is surprising and, in a way, touching.
