Wing Commander Prophecy Easter Egg - Anthony's Hidden Ships

1. In the main recreation room on the deck of the TCS Midway, go to the simulator pod.
2. When the ship selection screen comes up, type ALSWANTSMORESHIPS slowly and carefully on the keyboard. A female voice will notify you of the special activation.
3. Move over the fighter names now and examine the ships displayed in the view window - they comprise a number of enemy fighters from a previous game, Wing Commander 3. You can choose to fly in those ships instead of your own.

Some people consider this a cheat code, but I beg to differ. Firstly, no cheating is involved, it just gives you secret access to more ships to fly. Secondly, the cheat code refers to ALS, Anthony L. Sommers, lead programmer of WCP and WC3. In my personal discussions with Anthony (asommers, as he is nicknamed) he revealed that he missed the old enemy from WC3 which was absent in WCP, and wanted to capture the original magic for the latest game in the series, and this was how he did it.

You can search within WC3.EXE and find dozens of references to asommers in the form of "tell asommers to fix this!" - the standard error reply message in the game, although it never appears in the final version.
