Backdraft Easter Egg - The Real Donald Rimgale

Donald Rimgale aka Shadow, the character played by Robert DeNiro, was a real fire inspector for the Chicago Fire Department. He had a bit part in the movie and was a technical advisor for the film. Note in the closing credits that he appears both in the cast list and in the special thanks list.

My personal favorite for this movie.... Kurt Russel in the scene wheree hes coming out of the burning doorway with a child cradled in his one arm and an axe is his other hand his face is dirty, the kid is filthy, his jacket is open and reveals a very clean white t-shirt.
