Rocko's Modern Life Easter Egg - Chokey/Chewy Chicken

In the first 2 seasons of RML, the diner where the characters always eat is "Chokey Chicken" which has a giant choking chicken as a mascot. The reference is , of course, to "choking the chicken".

In the 3rd season, "chokey chicken" became "chewy chicken", probably because it was a kids show.

Yes, it was named Chokey Chicken for a long time, but was changed to Chewy Chicken. This show has a lot of real disgusting references, but most have been canned because it is a kid show. -Khameleon

Just to let you know... This cartoon used to be aired on MTV, So all this sick reference stuff posted here is true. Remember the SuckoMatic episode? When the show switched over to Nick it had to be turned into a "kids" show.

Hey T3RR0RI$T, I think you may be mistaken. I was watching Rocko this morning and I am absolutely positive that the sign above the place read "Chewy Chicken." It was that episode when Rocko and Heffer think Filb is an alien (I think the episode is called "High Five of Doom".) BTW: Rocko comes on at 6:30am on Nickelodeon. (I live in the California's central valley so it might not apply to all.)

It never happend.It was always "Chokey Chicken". I have every episode on tape. So I would know.

Maybe I am wrong, but I think it was originally called Chewy Chicken, and then after the episode when Heifer chokes, it is renamed to Choky Chicken. Maybe I am wrong.

In the episode, "Hair Licked", theres a part at the end where Rocko looks in the paper for his photo. You can see the photos and words on the back of the paper.If you look closely, you will see a picture a dick in a bowl, and above it , it says "Chicken Dicks".

It was Chokey Chicken, then, around the time they re-did the theme song, it became Chewy Chicken (I have proof of both; the time they went to France had a whole bunch of Chokey Chicken, and the one where Heffer moves out, he lives in the rotating Chewy Chicken sign.

youre all stupid in the first two seasons it was chokey chickin untill the nick censors got the joke then they were forced to change it to chewy chicken thats the truth if you dont believe it your wrong and stupid

Im watching RML on nicktoons tv right now and looking at an episode guide. Yes, the music is changed {I still like the original one alot better} and right now, they're in Chewy Chicken. But one of the episodes in the second season was called Chokey Chicken. So yes, great observation!! Damn fcc.
