Rutles, The Easter Egg - The 5th Rutle- George Harrison!

On the self-titled album "The Rutles," the song "Piggy In The Middle" has a short snippet of backwards speech in the middle.

Played backwards, the snippet is George Harrison saying "This little piggy went to Marrakesh."

Marrakesh, Morocco was the site of a late-60s retreat hosted by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, featuring the Beatles among other celebrities.

George is easier to find playing a reporter in the Rutles film "All You Need Is Cash."

Thanks so much for this egg! I love the Rutles, though only because I love Eric Idle and the Pythons so much (and of course, George Harrison and the rest of the Fab Four) and it's cool to hear an egg for them, even if most of their work was egg-worthy in itself!

I had no idea anyone remembered or even knew of The Rutles. Good to know. I regret to say, though, songs like "Cheese and Onions" and "Piggy In The Middle" are better songs than the actual Beatles' songs. This is coming from a die-hard Beatles fan...a Rutles fan second. Thanks.
