X-Files, The Easter Egg - The Pause That Refreshes

Near the beginning of the movie, after the first bar scene, Mulder "relieves" himself outside the bar. What is interesting to note is that it is onto a poster for the movie "Independence Day". This is hard to see on the regular video version since the movie has been formatted to fit on your television screen.

Sout is right it was said that Carter hated the premise and the movie ID4. The same people who did ID4 also did Godzilla and when asked to comment on the poster being peed on by Mulder they said as revenge they would do something in response to that in the sequel of Godzilla.

I read somewhere that the reason Mulder was peeing on the ID4 poster was because when ID4 came out Will Smith said in an interview "This pisses all over The X Files." or something similar. So it was Chris Carter's little idea of pay back I guess!
