Alice In Wonderland Easter Egg - Three Littles

Actually, it's not just coincidence. I don't know if it's an egg or not, but if you read The Annotated Alice--which is kind of a study version of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass--it points out the author's pedophilic obsession with the Liddell girls.

Come on, a pedophile? Children getting married then wasn't highly unusual as it is today, and they had...lovers--so to speak--then, as well. People didn't live long in those days. Besides, everything I have read says that L.C. was in love with Alice when she was 16. I've heard rumors about him photographing little girls, but that just goes along with the "pedophile" rumors. Unless we knew the man, we can't judge. Btw, great observation. My oldest brother let me borrow his TAA book one time, and even the last poem (?) spells out Alice's name--Alice Pleasance(?) Liddell. I think the last line ends with--"Life, what is it, but a dream?"

Lewis Carroll was in fact an opium user, but his books were not based on this drug use. Lewis told these stories to a young girl (which by the way he was in love with) names Alice and her little sisters. In the book he contradicts matematical definitions, like when Alice is running with the Red Queen, "We must keep running to stay in the same spot." Lewis Carroll was also a suspect in the Jack-the-Ripper murder case, reason being that supposedly his poem "the Jabberwocky" contained hidden anagrams, I have found this false, because "Alice" was written many years before the murders took place. the only thing Lewis was guilty of was being a pedophile, and he was not schizophrenic either.

Actually, the Liddell family cut LC off from them when Alice was eleven. No one's sure why. Go to google.com and search through images under Alice Liddell. There's tons of portraits of her.

C.L. Dodgeson (Lewis Carroll) was a truly STRANGE man. He hated and feared his own sexual tendencies - repressed pedophilia - and constantly distracted himself from such thoughts with logic puzzles and mathematical problems - hence the prevalence of both in his books.

Well he did take pictures of little girls naked but that was only because he found that the young female form was less corrupted then the adult female form. He didn't feel anything sexual towards it he just was interested in the forms. He was a photographer so it was just an area he chose to study. Also that poem isn't a coincidence. He was actually on a boat with Alice, her sisters and another man rowing down the Thames and was making up a story about A girl named Alice who at first fell down a rabbit hole. So basically the main outline of Alice in Wonderland was thought up off the top of his head which is quite amazing when you think about it

In my opinion L.C. was in fact a pedophile, think he wrote "Alice in wonderland", just to impress Alice (who was 4 years old then!)to who he got married, when she was blood young 17 years old. I also read that after people have criticized him for taking children porn photographs, he burned the most provocating ones. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (Lewis Carroll) did never got married, he certainly was a pedophile but never took PORN pictures, he didn't hated his sexual tendencies, actually he had many little girl friends and portrait them many times, sometimes naked (Alice Pleasance Liddell was one of them). He wrote "Alice's Adventures Underground" with the ideas he got on that boat, then he wrote "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" based on the first.

Lewis Carrol or The Rev. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson was a pedophile. Mrs. Liddell let him take Alice and her sisters on a train trip and something happened on that trip that was never spoken about again, (Carroll even tore the pages out of his diary),Mrs. Liddell never let him see Alice and her sisters again. We can only speculate, but I have a good idea about what it was. He did take nude pictures of little girls back then, but when Victorian society frowned on it he stopped taking them. I believe he lived his life in sin and spent whatever else time he had confessing his sins before God.

I just want to comment on the blog sent in by Mag. Charles Dodgson did not even know Alice Liddell when she was four years old. He certainly never married her when she was 17 ! Nor did he marry anyone else. He was a life-long bachelor. Mag's assertion that Dodgson was a paedophile seems to be based on the same sort of rubbish that appears in the rest of his/her blog !

I'm not sure I'd really consider this an egg. There is a much more obvious one that points to Alice Liddell - at the end of the Through The Looking Glass there is an acrostic poem: A boat beneath a sunny sky, Lingering onward dreamily In an evening of July-- Children three that nestle near, Eager eye and willing ear, Pleased a simple tale to hear-- Long has paled that sunny sky: Echoes fade and memories die.
