Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace Easter Egg - Glowing "ILM" in Theed Palace

In the dramatically beautiful shot of the captured Queen Amidala gazing sadly out a window in Theed Palace wearing her red dress with orange lights around the bottom, off to the right hand side are the glowing orange letters "ILM" (Industrial Light and Magic, George Lucas' special effects company) near the base of one of the massive pillars. You have to look quick but it is there, as proven by still photos of the scene.

This isn't really an egg. I'm not saying that the red blur on the pillar doesn't exist. I've see it and read about it on www.theforce.net. They say that is not an egg and it doesn't not say ILM.

Does anyone have any evidence for or against this egg? Can anyone confirm that this is true or false?

I just added a topic in the forum "What Qualifies as an Egg?" (in the Discussion Board) where we can discuss this.

It looks like, to me, that it is a reflection of her red dress. If you look, you will see that it is a shiny marble surface, and if you do the math, the sun would reflect in that direction. I think that explains it. The location is at 20 minutes 51 seconds.

that force.net screenshot is a REALLY bad quality jpg, but watch it in the movie. it definitively says ilm. + it's much too far away-- + around a few pillars + cloisters-- to be a reflection. i can't believe people doubt this, it's been confirmed for over a decade, they point it out in the dvd commentary.
