Ever think that's where Vader got the suit from?

No, this is not where anakin got his darth vader suit... According to my partner, speculation is that anakin is disfigured in some sort of lava... in episode 3, i expect... And the suit is specially designed to keep anakin's broken body alive. that much is obvious. So why would a sith lord with so much technology and power at his disposal use a childhood junkshop suit? Nice try, tho... paul

I checked out that scene and didn't find that to be Vader's suit or anything close to it, it you look at the scene when Qui-Gon first enters that room it's just some weird parts hanging off the wall. But good observation though. Knowing George Lucas he'll try to hint some Vader things in the next episode, much like he did this one at the end credits with Vader's breathing.

Actually, if you look in the Star Wars insider that has a double cover and Raiders of the Lost Ark, there's a section with a picture of the interior of Watto's shop. It look sto me like it's IG-88's body and Vader's helmet. Think about it! Anyone else remember IG-88's head in the cantina? Here's his body! And the Vader helmet...don't know what's up with that. It's about as mysterious as a hanging munchkin.

Sorry, that is definitely *not* Vader's suit. I'd agree it looks a little more like IG-88 than anything (except the head). You can see it perfectly clearly in the widescreen DVD. Qui Gon says, "If we lose, you keep my ship. (pause) Either way, you win." On "ship", the camera is on Anakin. During the pause, it switches back to Qui Gon as he turns to face Watto, and you can see the thing clearly from the hips up. It has a barrel-torso, and the head is shaped like the tip of a bullet and has a single camera lens poking out the front.

Yep, it's Vader's suit. However, I DO NOT think Anakin got the suit from Watto's junk shop. All the people who posted comments who are saying its where Anakin got it, do yourself a favor and go see Revenge of the Sith...I mean, come on people

Perhaps it was that droid in episode IV, CZ-series communications/business droid. Look it up on Wookieepedia (starwars.wikia.com). It looks like the thing in Watto's shop.

actually he got his suit from party city lol,but yeah i didn't see the suit at all..
