Winger, Debra Easter Egg - Uncredited Role

In the movie "Made in Heaven" the character of Emmit is listed as playing "himself" in the credits. The character is actually played by Debra Winger. She was the wife of Tim Hutton who had the lead role.

This may be old news, but when I first found out it was her, I was floored. I really didn't know the guy was played by a woman. (Of course, now that I know, it's obvious...)

Why she did not want the credit for playing a rather significant part, I don't know.

This is an old joke between Debra and Timothy, who were then quite "together." In fact, if memory serves, they were married at the time the film was made. She wanted to have fun with the role reversal and did not WANT to be credited.

I don't get it. The Internet Movie Database doesn't list Tim Robbins being in anything with the title: "Made In Heaven".

It's Timothy Hutton, not Tim Robbins.

Debra Winger is also uncredited as the voice of E.T.

In fact, the reason the character is named Emmit (as it is in the screenplay), is that backwards, it's Tim-Me. How cute is that? 'Course, they're divorced now, so . . .

While this is true that Debra Winger played Emmit (un-credited), Timothy Hutton played Elmo, the lead. Tim Robbins wasn't associated with the project.
