GEC Fortran Compiler Easter Egg - Xmas Greeting in Gec Fortran Compiler
You need a GEC 4060, 4080, or 4090 series computer ( http://www.cucumber.demon.co.uk/geccl/4000series/index.html#4080 ) and the Fortran 77 compiler.
Compile a Fortran Program and use the -m (Map) option.
When the system clock's minute equals the second, and it is within 12 days of 24th December, a "Merry Christmas" banner is printed in the line printer output.
The reason its cool is that it is almost impossible to figure the replication pattern, and the author was fired from GEC COmputers for doing it. By that time however, he had already resigned!
