Animaniacs Easter Egg - Numerous Eggs

Animaniacs has numerous eggs. perhaps the funniest is the episode with someone sitting at a computer DISCUSSING eggs and other things. The Warners come on and say "don't let this happen to you!" Ironic huh?

Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain have hidden messages in the credits also.

Interesting enough, there was a reference to the "Fox Kids Club" that was left in after the series moved to WB. It was in reference to the Wheel of Morality, which if I remember correctly was not used after the move.

if you look closely at almost every show that was or is made by the WB in every credits near the end something weird is always said. Sometimes it just says "This is episode #_"

Every Warner Bros. cartoon is full of inside jokes and obscure pop-culture references (ever see Freakazoid?). I don't think they would count as an egg. What could be counted as eggs are those joke credits at the end of the show. I've noticed them on Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, and Freakazoid.

Actually, all the 'eggs' the charaters in this particular short are discussing are either FAQs or ongoing arguments (at the time it was made) from the newsgroup alt.tv.animaniacs. Some of the Animaniacs writers used to lurk on the newsgroup.

It's not really an egg but more of a tribute. Remember the countries of the world song? (sung to "I am the very model of a modern major general...") The animaniacs version is a tribute to a comedian called Tom Lehrer, except he did it with the elements of the periodic table. Obscure but true.

Hey Slappy, anyone could go around and say "There are eggs in Animaniacs" which is what you just did. Instead, why don't you actually mention what the egg is?

Just so you know, the Nations of the World song is to the tune of the Mexican hat dance. It's "I am the very model of a cartoon individual" that you're thinking of. And while it DOES happen to have the same tune as Tom Lehrer's "The Elements", that's probably pure coincidence. Both of them were spoofs of the song "I am the very model of a modern major general" from the operetta the "Pirates of Penzance".

Here are two eggs for you, the "International Friendship Song" is a sung to a song known as "Der Schnitzlebank" (the sausageboard.) Also, everytime the Brain asks Pinky if he knows what he is thinking, Pinky always responds with a very far flung suggestive comment. The latter was pointed out to me and I never noticed it until I saw a couple of episodes.
