In case no one knew this, Alfred Hitchcock appears in all of his films, in some way, shape, or form.

Hitchcock was not carrying a briefcase - he was carrying a horn instrument in its case. He did this to show himself as a pied-piper of sorts.

If we could put this little bit of misinformation to bed once and for all, I'd be really happy. As has been said elsewhere, Hitch did *not* appear in all his films, just *most* of them. The first film in which he turned up on screen was The Lodger (1926), when (as he told it) they simply needed more people to fill out the crowd scenes, and he stepped in as an "extra". Prior to that however, he had already directed two films and worked on eight others, the earliest being Number Thirteen (1922). Finally, can anybody point out where his cameo appearance occurs in The Trouble With Harry? I'd be most grateful, because I surely haven't spotted it yet. :-(
