Roseanne Easter Egg - The Chicken and the Egg

Roseanne liked to wear a white t-shirt that had a large picture of an egg with a chicken.
Tom Arnold HATED this shirt so much shedid not wear it in any episode while they were married. After their divorce Roseanne used the t-shirt in every episode, she either wore it, took it out of the washing machine, had it in her laundry load or Jackie's, and in an episode about her unborn granchild even framed it on the wall as a giant painting! She even stops to look at it! It's a lot of fun to see where it would pop up.

In an episoid (I think it was the one when Roseanne and Jackie go to a health spa) they get all the cast to waer the t-shirts at the end.

yes!! the episode where Roseanne suspects Darlene is going to run away to Chicago, and opens her lockbox is the episode where they all wear it at one point or another. when Roseanne and Jackie are sitting on the bed reading Darlene's bank book, Roseanne is wearing the shirt. when they come downstairs after the commercial, Jackie is wearing the shirt. I LOVE THAT EPISODE.

I always wondered what the deal was with that stupid shirt! In one episode there was somebody wearing it in every scene, even DJ, and it was so big on him. That's funny....talk about getting the last word.

I love the epi when Roseanne thought that Darlene was going to run away. EVERYONE wore it, ending up with DAN wearing in the tag, during credits! My fave tho, is that intro... Rosanne's wearing it, up in Darlene's room. And when, what's supposed to be moments later, they come down the stairs and Roseanne's NOT wearing it, but JACKIE is!! she's so awesome!

I don't know that Roseanne would go though all the trouble of fitting the shirt in soo much just because Tom didn't like it. There has to be more to it, I've always wondered why or what the importance was. Maybe it's the age old deli-ma which came first the chicken or the egg.?
