Running with Scissors (Weird Al) Easter Egg - Hidden Movie

This hidden movie isnt on my copy of the album, theres just 12 audio tracks... :(

the film clip was origionally show as part of a Disney special called "There's No Going Home"

Does anyone know where I can download this moive?

This movie is not hidden. It talks about the enhanced cd in the booklet if you have the USA version. Also, it plays on a Mac os computer. When will you stop being OS-ist?

Starwarsfiend is correct. I've tried it on both my WinNT Workstation and my Win98 workstation, and the hidden movie only seems to play correctly on my iMac. I guess you could probably guess Weird Al is a Mac owner.

Actually, it plays just fine on my computer which happens to be a packard bell..

There is a cd technology called "multiple session." Older cd-roms (or crappy ones) can only read one "session" of recording or they may only be able to read either the music OR the data.

well...... can anyone extract the movie file from the cd and save it to their hard drive? I tried and it failed. I want to be able to view it w/o the cd

I dont think the movie is on teh Australian version for some strange and unexplained reason...

I bought the Australian version and it is on there, but my friend got a different Australian one without it. The first copies in Australia I think were US imports which I got one of, now they are printed here

I too have an Australian copy, and it doesn't have the hidden video. What's on the hidden video anyway? Is it a video clip of one of his songs?

Many may know this already, but many CDs have these types of things on them. I'm not sure how long it has been done (probably mid 90s). They usually have things about the making of the album or videos, maybe a game, or just a look into the artists' lives. Not all that do it say they do so experiment and enjoy.

Also, I think Eiffel 65's "Europop" had this feature with their video "Blue (Da Ba Dee)", and the Pokemon CD "2 B A Master" had either the Pokemon theme song or the PokeRap, I can't remember which. I would say this began in about '96, '97, around then. Anyway, I could name at least 100 other CD's that can do this, but, obviously, if I were to type them all in, I would have absolutely no social life whatsoever. I'm not sure if it is true in this scenario, but there may be a way to tell if there is a movie or hidden file. Simply look an the back of the CD (light required). Look really closely around the edge of the CD. You should see a faint white mark going in a circle around the CD. That should help you not in the USA (YEAH BABA!)

The hidden file is actually called "HIDDEN FILE!!!!"(well, actually, it might be titled differently on others, I don't know) Anyway, just wanted anyone who couldn't get the file to run(provided they had it on their CD) that you also need Quicktime. If you do, you're doing something else wrong.

Hi All... My Australian copy of the CD has the "hidden" movie, on my PC. Actually, all of my computers (all PC's) play it. They all have different CDROM's too, old and new. I have no idea why some people are having probs copying it to hard drive, as I have done so flawlessly.... CYA :)

I just tried the cd in my IBM computer and "HOORAY!!!!!!!" The hidden file works!!!!! But it's not called the hidden file. It's called the secret file. The movie is hilarious!!!!!!!

I've got the British version and the file doesn't exist on it. Oh well...

I found this along time ago, I can't believe I didn't think to post it here. Anyway its not that secret, it say something about it in the thing with the lyrics and copyright, also its from a Disney documentary, although I never saw it on Disney channel in the movie Al's mom ask about the people with him and Al replies there from the Disney channel.

I just saw the clip for the first time today. My version is 15 minutes long so I was in for a treat. My question is, has anyone played "Eat it" Backwards like the Ex-con/lunatic suggests in the clip, if so what if anything is revealed when you do this?

The CD Europop by Eiffel 65 has no movie!! Did you know the name Eiffel 65 was random. They got it from a computer.

I cant get the movie, it only has 12 tracks.

This egg is only available on the first pressing of the album, not international or subsquent pressings of the album. Fortuantely, I picked it up the day it was released.
