Brooks, Mel Easter Egg - No Love for Nazis!

Mel Brooks did several interviews in late seventies because of his wild success with low brow parodies.
He swore in an interview to always lampoon Hitler
with every chance he had on film....
"Spring Time for Hitler" was from the film The Producers.
Other examples with bits are: Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, History of the World, High Anxiety.

my English teacher said to me (after i quoted to her "don't be stupid be a smarty come and join the Nazi party" from the producers)that Mel Brooks despises Hitler and the Nazis and that if he can make you laugh at them then what they did will probaly never happen again.

Mel Brooks did not direct "Airplane!" He was not involved in it in any way. It was directed by Jim Abrahams and David Zucker.

Here's what's really interesting. In Spaceballs and Blazing Saddles (both by him), Brooks plays a politician with a sex problem.
